Overview

The red UV hood can be replaced if it becomes scratched, damaged, or if the customer prefers a refreshed appearance. Replacement hoods are provided by SprintRay Customer Support. Follow the steps below to safely remove the old hood and install the new one.

Before You Begin

• Make sure the printer is powered off
• Ensure the resin tank is covered and removed to prevent spills
• Have the required hex wrench ready

How to Replace the Pro S Red UV Hood

1. Remove the Resin Tank

• Place the lid on the resin tank.
• Remove the tank from the printer to avoid accidental resin spills during the process.

2. Remove the Hood Discs

• Each hinge has a hood disc secured with 4 screws.
• Use a hex wrench to remove all 4 screws from the left hinge disc.
• Repeat on the right hinge disc.
• Set the discs and screws aside.

3. Remove the Old Hood

• With the discs removed, gently pull the hood forward to detach it from the hinges.

4. Install the New Hood

• Align the new hood with the hinge mounts on both sides of the printer.
• Slide it into place, ensuring the hinge openings line up properly.

5. Reattach the Hood Discs

• Position the hood disc back onto the hinge.
• Reinstall the 4 screws using the hex wrench.
• Repeat on the opposite side until both discs are securely attached.
