Black screen when setting up projector in Windows 10

If you are setting up the projector and can not see the projector as a display the screen may go black. The issue is that RayOne is being displayed as the primary monitor. This may happen in Windows 10.

Try the follow steps to fix this issue:

  1. Open up Control Panel > Appearance & Personalize > Display Settings > Change Display Settings

  2. You should see two monitors and one is showing as RayOne.

  3. Uncheck the box so that RayOne is not the primary display screen.

  4. Click on Apply and close out.

You should be able to continue with set up settings for projector with no black screen issues.
