Live Build: Uploading Build Styles

Learn how to upload a buildstyle to the Live Build software.

What is a Buildstyle File

Buildstyle is a file that comprises of a series of parameters that instruct your printer on how to process the printing material. Each material comes with various buildstyles that cater to different layer thicknesses and printers. Each buildstyle consists of over two dozen settings that regulate the way the printer processes the material.

Uploading Buildstyle

  1. Click on the printer image in the top right corner.

  2. The Print menu opens. Select the Gear icon and Upload New.

  3. Navigate to the folder that contains buildstyle you want to upload.
  4. Select the required buildstyle(s) and click Open. The selected buildstyle(s) are now uploaded.

Selecting a Buildstyle

  1. Click on the printer image in the top right corner.

  2. The Print menu opens. Press the Buildstyle field and select the buildstyle from the drop-down list. The drop-down list contains the loaded into software buildstyles for the selected material and layer thickness.


    Note: The number of buildstyles available in the drop-down list depends on the selected printer, material, and layer thickness in the corresponding fields above the Buildstyle field.
  3. Select Apply
