Midas: Multi Unit Capsule Priming

Proper priming of the Multi Unit Capsule ensures consistent material mixing and reliable print performance.

Overview

Before printing with a Multi Unit Capsule, the resin must go through both automated pre-priming on the printer and manual priming using the included priming tool. Following this process correctly helps ensure optimal print quality.

Capsule Components

A Multi Unit Capsule consists of the following key parts:

  • White plunger
  • Black plunger
  • Capsule glass (bottom window)
  • Red priming clip (used during manual priming)
  • Safety film (protective layer on capsule glass)

Before You Begin

Confirm the following before priming:

  • The Midas software is up to date
  • The correct resin and capsule are selected for the print
  • The resin is not expired
  • The UV safety film is still attached
  • The capsule glass has not been touched or contaminated
  • The red priming clip is attached to the white plunger
  • The Multi Unit template is installed on the printer
