Overview
Before printing with a Multi Unit Capsule, the resin must go through both automated pre-priming on the printer and manual priming using the included priming tool. Following this process correctly helps ensure optimal print quality.

Capsule Components
A Multi Unit Capsule consists of the following key parts:
- White plunger
- Black plunger
- Capsule glass (bottom window)
- Red priming clip (used during manual priming)
- Safety film (protective layer on capsule glass)
Before You Begin
Confirm the following before priming:
- The Midas software is up to date
- The correct resin and capsule are selected for the print
- The resin is not expired
- The UV safety film is still attached
- The capsule glass has not been touched or contaminated
- The red priming clip is attached to the white plunger
- The Multi Unit template is installed on the printer
How to Prime a Midas Multi Unit Capsule
1. Start the Print Setup
- Select your print job and confirm settings by clicking Prepare Print.
- Scan the capsule QR code.
- Select Prime this Capsule.
2. Automated Pre-Priming (On Printer)
- Place the capsule on the printer with the safety film still attached.
- Ensure the capsule is fully seated on the print glass.
Note: If the Start button is not selectable, press the capsule down gently until it is properly detected.
- Select Start.
- The Midas arm will begin pre-priming by slowly moving the capsule piston downward.
Once complete, remove the capsule and select Next.
3. Manual Priming (Using Red Clip)
- Place the capsule on a flat surface.
- Ensure the red priming clip is still attached to the white plunger.
- Using both hands:
• Press the white plunger downward against the red clip
• Then alternate pressing the white and black plungers - Repeat this full motion 10 times to thoroughly mix the resin.
4. Final Position Check
- Press the black plunger fully down to its lowest position.
- Select Next on the touchscreen.
5. Final Preparation
- Remove the red priming clip.
- Select Next.
- Remove the UV safety film from the bottom of the capsule.
- Place the capsule back onto the printer.
