Midas: Understanding the AutoPrint Feature

Discover how the AutoPrint feature enhances printing efficiency and simplifies document handling in various applications.

AutoPrint is available on both Midas and Pro 2 and allows you to print a variety of indications directly from the printer or SprintRay app. This feature automatically detects appliances from your files, then nests and slices them on the device, streamlining your workflow and reducing setup time.

Before You Begin

  • Make sure your STL file is already uploaded to SprintRay Cloud before starting an AutoPrint job.

Starting an AutoPrint Job

You can start AutoPrint directly from the printer or through the SprintRay app.

  1. Select the AutoPrint tab
  2. Select your indication.
All files associated with that indication will be displayed.
  3. Select your file, then click Next.
  4. Choose your print kit and resin. The printer will automatically select the print kit that is currently installed along with the current resin assigned to the tank.
  5. Click Prepare Print.
    1. It will take a moment for the print job to load. During this time, the software is determining the best orientation, identifying where supports are needed, checking for any mesh issues, and applying the correct amount of supports. Once that process is complete, the print will fully load.

Review and Start the Print

After the job has loaded:

Preview the file to confirm it looks correct. You are able to rotate and zoom into the file to confirm it looks correct from every angle.
