Overview
Proper storage of resin and resin tanks helps preserve material quality, extend tank lifespan, and ensure consistent print results. This article outlines recommended storage practices for all Pro 2 resins, including specific handling instructions for NightGuard 2.

General Storage Guidelines
- Resin can remain stored in the resin tank for up to six months.
- Keep the tank covered with the black plastic lid whenever it is not installed on the printer.
- Store resin tanks in a dark, room-temperature location to avoid light exposure and heat.
- Mix the resin inside the tank before each print by stirring for at least 30 seconds.
- If a tank remains in storage, remove the lid and stir the resin for 30 seconds once a month to maintain uniform material consistency.
NightGuard 2 Storage Requirements
NightGuard 2 has additional storage restrictions:
- Do not leave NightGuard 2 resin tanks installed on the printer.
- Remove the tank immediately after printing and store it in a separate dark location.
- Follow all standard stirring and monthly mixing recommendations.
Why Proper Storage Matters
- Maintains resin stability over time
- Prevents premature tank wear
- Reduces print variability caused by sedimentation or light exposure
- Preserves resin characteristics such as viscosity, shade consistency, and cure behavior
