Pro S: Setup and First Print

How to unbox, set up, and complete your first print on the Pro S.

Overview

This guide walks through the essential steps for setting up the SprintRay Pro S, preparing your workspace, installing components, and completing your first print.


In the Box

Before beginning setup, take inventory of all included items:

  • Pro S printer
  • Print platform
  • Resin tank
  • Resin wiper
  • Power cord
  • Print removal tool
  • Support snipper
  • Cleaning cloth
  • Onboarding card

The print platform and resin tank arrive pre-installed. Remove all protective film before first use.


Where to Set Up

Choose a placement that supports consistent printing:

  • Set the printer on a flat, level, sturdy surface
  • Ensure the area is well ventilated
  • Avoid direct sunlight, bright UV sources, or extreme temperatures
  • Keep away from equipment that causes vibration

Printing


1. Plug in Your Pro S

  • Use the provided power cable to connect the printer to a surge protector or UPS.
  • Pro S enters sleep mode after inactivity; touch the screen or send a print job to wake it.
  • Use the rear power switch only when performing a hard reset or disconnecting the device.
     

2. Connect to a Wireless/Wired Network

Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your Pro S to the internet.
A stable connection is required for software updates, resin profiles, Print Setup, and Cloud Design services.
 

3. Prepare the Print Platform

  • Seat the platform on the Z-axis arm.
  • Turn the red knob counter-clockwise to lock it in place.
  • Turn the knob clockwise to unlock the platform for removal.

Tip: Remove the platform before removing the resin tank to minimize cleanup.
 

4. Prepare the Resin Tank

  • Lock the Tank
    • Place the tank into its cradle.
    • Push the tank away from you until you hear a click.
  • Unlock the Tank
    • Pull gently toward you until you hear a click.
    • Lift upward to remove the tank.
       

5. Fill the Resin Tank

  • Shake the resin bottle thoroughly.
  • Pour resin into the tank between the Min and Max lines.
  • Ensure the resin is evenly spread across the tank floor.
  • Confirm resin level requirements on the touchscreen before printing.
     

6. Send Files to the Printer

Use SprintRay Cloud for the most reliable workflow.

You can:

  • Build jobs with Print Setup
  • Print designs from Cloud Design
  • Upload your own STLs

Once the print job is sent, follow instructions on the touchscreen.
Prints continue independently even if your computer disconnects, as long as the printer remains powered.
 

Finishing a Print Job

Note: Wear gloves for safety.

  • When the print arm fully raises, remove the build platform.
  • Place it on a flat surface.
  • Use the print removal tool to detach the printed parts.
  • Pull supports off or trim supports using the support snipper.
