NanoWash: Solvent Tank

Learn about the NanoWash solvent tank.

Overview

The Solvent Tank stores the IPA or other compatible solvent used to wash your parts. It slots into the right side of the unit from above and is held by its own weight against a rubber seal. The red UV-protective lid is removable for easy filling, draining, and cleaning.

First Fill

The Solvent Tank is preinstalled but empty. Fill it before your first wash cycle.

  1. Lift the Solvent Tank straight out of the unit.

  2. Remove the red lid.

  3. Fill with 91% or 99% isopropyl alcohol using the printed markers as your guide:
    1. MIN 1.5 L:  minimum to start a wash
    2. OPTIMAL 2.0 L: for best results, maintain this level
    3. MAX 2.2 L: never fill above this line

  4. Reinstall the lid, pressing firmly until it seats against the gasket.

  5. Lower the tank into the track until it seats against the seal.

Tank Mode: Assigned vs Open

Each Solvent Tank has an RFID tag that the NanoWash reads automatically when installed. Configure each tank in one of two modes:

  • Assigned: Dedicated to a single resin type. Limits solvent exposure to one resin. This mode is recommended for shaded resins where shade consistency matters most.
  • Open: Accepts any resin type. Useful when running 3 or more resins, where mixing shades doesn't affect consistency.

Tank mode is set from the touchscreen and always shown on the home screen.

Solvent Tank Storage

Store Solvent Tanks upright and away from direct sunlight and heat. Even with UV-protective plastic, excess UV exposure degrades solvent and cures residual resin.

Always secure the lid firmly against the gasket to prevent evaporation and fume leakage. Clean the tank interior every time you refresh the IPA, and empty and clean any tank before long-term storage.
