ProWash S: Overview

ProWash S is SprintRay’s next-generation automated wash system designed to clean and dry 3D printed dental parts in a fast, consistent, fully guided workflow.

Overview

ProWash S is an advanced, cloud-connected post-processing unit that performs a complete two-stage wash and thorough dry cycle in just 9 minutes. Designed to improve reliability, reduce manual handling, and streamline production, ProWash S serves as the central cleaning system in the SprintRay ecosystem. It works seamlessly with SprintRay printers and curing units to automate the entire print-to-cure pipeline.

This article introduces the hardware, workflow, and core features of ProWash S. Wash cycle setup, maintenance, and best practices are covered in separate articles.

Key Components

5-Inch Touchscreen

A high-brightness touchscreen guides the entire wash workflow, displays cycle progress, and provides animated maintenance tutorials.

Dual-Chamber Wash System

ProWash S uses a two-stage solvent bath: a primary wash and a secondary rinse. Each chamber is optimized to remove uncured resin efficiently with minimal user input.

Mechanical Jetting Motor

A redesigned motor and propeller create powerful solvent circulation, enabling fast, uniform cleaning across all resin types and model geometries.

Dedicated Drying Fan

An all-new drying system channels air directly into the wash chamber. This delivers significantly faster and more complete drying before curing.

Integrated Solvent Sensors

Sensors track solvent level, quality, replacement intervals, and pump performance. The system provides guided instructions for managing and refreshing IPA.

Cloud-Connected Processor

ProWash S receives job information automatically from SprintRay Cloud, enabling single-touch activation and synchronized handoff from print to wash to cure.

How ProWash S Works

ProWash S automates the cleaning sequence to eliminate variability and reduce manual handling. A standard cycle includes:

  1. Wash Stage 1
Mechanical jetting agitates solvent around the printed parts to remove the majority of uncured resin.
  2. Wash Stage 2 (Rinse)
The second chamber performs a fresh IPA rinse for improved surface quality.
  3. Dry Cycle
The drying fan delivers targeted airflow into the chamber to ensure parts are clean, residue-free, and fully ready for curing.

A complete cycle finishes in approximately 9 minutes, significantly reducing turnaround time for in-office fabrication.

Intelligent Connectivity

ProWash S is part of the SprintRay connected ecosystem.

Automatic Job Handoff

After a print completes:

  • The printer sends job information to ProWash S via SprintRay Cloud.
  • ProWash S loads the correct wash profile.
  • Once the wash/dry cycle finishes, ProCure 2 receives the job for curing.
  • This reduces touchpoints and minimizes user error.

Cloud Updates

ProWash S automatically receives:

  • New wash profiles
  • Software improvements
  • Resin-specific cleaning settings
  • Diagnostics updates

Smart Diagnostics

The system continuously monitors:

  • Motor performance
  • Solvent levels
  • Drying fan output
  • Pump behavior
  • Firmware status
  • On-screen prompts guide corrective actions when needed.

Solvent Management

ProWash S introduces guided solvent maintenance designed to reduce waste and improve cleaning consistency.

  • Built-in sensors monitor IPA condition
  • Automatic pumps manage solvent cycling
  • System prompts indicate when to change or refresh chambers
  • Custom cleaning cycles allow offices to set wash and rinse durations tailored to specific workflows

This results in cleaner parts and longer solvent lifespan.
