The Label tool in Print Setup lets you add a text label directly onto your model. This is especially helpful when:
- Printing multiple models on a single build platform
- Keeping track of which print belongs to which patient
This tool is ideal for anyone managing high print volume or multi-patient workflows.
Enable Manual Editing
The Label tool requires Autopilot Mode to be turned off. To access it:
- Open your print in Print Setup.
- Toggle Autopilot Off using the switch in the upper-right corner.
- The full toolset, including Label, will now be available in the sidebar.

Using the Label Tool
- With your STL file uploaded and Autopilot off, click on the Label tab in the tool sidebar.

- Type your label into the text box — up to 10 characters is supported.
- Click Place Label to begin placing the text on the model.
- Choose between Emboss (raised text) or Deboss (engraved text).
- Use the Scale slider to adjust the size of the label.
- Move your cursor over the model. The label (shown in purple) will follow your cursor.
- Click on the model where you want the label placed.
- A semi-circle gimbal tool will appear. Use it to rotate the label into your desired orientation.

- Once the label is placed and positioned correctly, click Confirm Changes to apply.
