Overview
Regular cleaning of the ProWash/Dry ensures consistent wash performance and protects internal plumbing components. Resin buildup can interfere with solvent detection, pump operation, and overall cleaning efficiency. This guide outlines how to clean the wash chambers, reservoirs, and wash chamber filter.
Cleaning the Wash Chambers and Reservoirs
We recommend cleaning the wash chambers periodically, depending on usage volume.
Step 1: Remove Hydrometers
- Remove the rubber caps from the tops of the hydrometer rods.
- Carefully remove both hydrometers from their chambers.
Step 2: Clean Interior Surfaces
- Use the provided brush, a paper towel, and IPA to remove resin buildup from the walls and floor of each chamber.
- Thoroughly clean the level sensor leads.
If the sensors become coated with resin, ProWash/Dry may not correctly detect solvent levels.
Step 3: Reinstall Hydrometers
The hydrometers are pre-calibrated for their specific chambers.
- Return Hydrometer 1 to Chamber 1.
- Return Hydrometer 2 to Chamber 2.
Ensure each hydrometer is placed back in its correct reservoir.
Cleaning the Wash Chamber Filter
ProWash/Dry includes a mesh filter that prevents resin debris from entering the plumbing system. This filter should be cleaned regularly. If it cannot be adequately cleaned, it should be replaced.
Remove
- Clear the area around the filter to prevent debris from falling into the plumbing.
- Turn the filter counterclockwise by hand to remove it.
Clean
- Flush the filter with IPA to remove resin debris.
- Use the provided tweezers to remove any additional debris trapped in the mesh.
Install
- Reinsert the filter into the opening.
- Turn clockwise and hand tighten securely.
Routine cleaning helps extend the life of internal components and ensures reliable wash performance.
