NanoCure: Setup and First Cure

A step-by-step guide to setting up NanoCure and completing your first curing cycle.

Overview

This article walks through the initial setup of NanoCure and explains how to perform a first cure. Proper setup ensures safe operation, reliable curing performance, and full access to cloud-connected features such as job handoff and automatic software updates.

In the Box

Before setup, confirm that all included components are present:

  • NanoCure
  • Curing tray
  • Power adaptor
  • Power cable
  • USB-C cable
  • Onboarding card

If any items are missing or damaged, contact SprintRay Support before proceeding.

Create a Workspace

Place NanoCure on a level, stable surface in a well-ventilated area. Ensure there is adequate clearance around the device for airflow and that the rear power button remains accessible.

Keep NanoCure away from extreme temperatures, windows, and direct sunlight to maintain consistent curing conditions.

Warning: Do not obstruct the ventilation openings located on the rear and along the front edges of the device.

Plug In and Power On

  1. Use the provided power adaptor and cable to connect NanoCure to a grounded surge protector or uninterrupted power supply.
  2. Press the power button on the rear of the device to turn it on.
  3. Once powered, follow the on-screen setup prompts.

To power cycle or reset NanoCure, press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.

Connect and Sign In

To enable cloud-connected features such as job handoff and software updates, connect NanoCure to your network and sign in with a SprintRay account.

Follow the on-screen prompts to connect to a wired or wireless network and complete the sign-in process.

Install the Curing Tray

Open the curing drawer by gently pulling the handle. Place the curing tray inside the drawer so it rests evenly on the internal frame. Slowly close the drawer to confirm the tray is properly seated.

Height Limit

NanoCure cannot begin a curing cycle if a model taller than 3 inches is detected inside the chamber.

For tall or long models, place them flat on the curing tray to remain within the height limit. Do not attempt to close the drawer if models exceed the allowed height.

Warning: Forcing the drawer closed with oversized models may cause permanent damage to the device.

Using NanoCure for the First Cure

Before curing, ensure all models have been thoroughly washed and fully dried. For best results, SprintRay wash devices are recommended.

Open the curing drawer and place models evenly on the curing tray, then close the drawer securely.

If NanoCure is signed in to SprintRay Cloud, ready-to-cure production jobs will automatically appear in the Queue tab. Select the appropriate job and press Start to begin curing.

If the job does not appear in the queue, manually select the correct material from the touchscreen. The device may take a short moment to reach the required curing temperature before the cycle begins.

Warning: NanoCure may become warm to the touch during operation. Do not block ventilation openings, as this may cause overheating.
