How to Send a Design to Print Setup

This article explains how to transfer an approved design from SprintRay Cloud Design into Print Setup and prepare it for 3D printing.

Step 1: Send to Print Setup

Once you approve the design in SprintRay Cloud Design, click Send to Print Setup.
You will be prompted to choose one of the following:

Create New Print Job – starts a fresh build platform
Add to Existing Print Job – adds the design to an in-progress platform layout

Selecting either option will open the file in Print Setup.

Step 2: Review the Print Setup Layout

When your file loads in Print Setup, the system will automatically:

• Orient the part for optimal accuracy and strength
• Generate balanced supports based on the appliance type
• Arrange the part on the build platform for efficient printing

You may edit the setup if needed:

• Move, rotate, or re-orient the part
• Adjust support style, density, or placement
• Duplicate models if additional copies are required

This step allows you to ensure the build layout matches your preferred printing workflow.

Step 3: Confirm Printer and Resin Settings

Before sending the job to a printer, verify the following details:

Printer Type – must match the model you intend to print on
Resin Type and Shade – confirm they match the resin currently loaded in your tank
Kit Selection (if applicable) – choose Arch Kit, Crown Kit, Duo Kit, etc.

Double-checking these selections ensures seamless communication with your printer.

Step 4: Send to Printer

Click Send to Printer once the setup is finalized.

From your list of cloud-connected printers, choose the appropriate device and select one of the following:

Send to Queue – places the job in your printer’s queue for later
Print Now – immediately starts printing (printer must be idle and ready)

After sending, the print will appear on the touchscreen of your SprintRay printer under the Queue tab.
